The Mardi Gras Indians weren’t inside at the first dance, but I thought it was such a unique part of their wedding that I should include it.
The painting above was painted up on a mountain on a cloudy day in Oregon— Usually you would see Mt. Hood from the vista— so I made it happen for them in the painting even though it won’t be there in photographs!
